#ILSCGIVES: Making a Difference

2018 has been a wonderful year for ILSC Education Group. Connecting the world through education continues to be filled with transformative learning, growth and success. We’d like to thank you all of our readers for your continued support and wish you a very happy and safe holiday! With that, here are some highlights in 2018, as well as some initiatives that make us very excited for 2019. We hope you are as excited as we are for what’s to come!

CSR Champion of the Year award – TWO years in a row!

Corporate (or as we say Community) Social Responsibility is fundamental to ILSC. We continue to work to lead positive change in our communities, and we believe that together we can change the world for the better.  For the second year in a row, ILSC was both thrilled and honoured to be presented the CSR Champion of the Year award at the ESL Language Travel Awards recently held in Spain. Our staff and students are passionate about creating positive change and we are so excited to be recognized for it.

#ILSCGIVES initiative: $1/registration towards to LTE program

As part of ILSC’s mission to provide transformation living and learning experiences to students around the world, we’re thrilled to introduce a new global initiative, entitled #ILSCGIVES. For every registration ILSC and Greystone College receive, we will donate $1 per registration to the Learn to Earn (LTE) program which provides scholarships to disadvantaged women in India. Help us raise $36,000 to support 30 Learn to Earn students in 2019! Be sure to follow the #ILSCGIVES hashtag on Instagram to stay up to date with all of ILSC’s CSR initiatives!

$12,000 donation to LTE program!

To kick off the #ILSCGIVES campaign, ILSC recently made a $12,000 donation to the Learn to Earn program, funding 10 scholarships for students currently in the program. Since the start of the Learn to Earn program in 2010, over 100 students have graduated and developed the confidence to take the next steps in their education and careers. This donation was made to THANK YOU for your support of ILSC in 2018! You can meet some of the faces of this program by reading about them here.

The 12 Days of #ILSCGIVES

What better time to put #ILSCGIVES into practice than the holiday season? To jump-start this awesome initiative, we held an Instagram campaign that encouraged ILSC and Greystone staff and students to give good things with the 12 Days of #ILSCGIVES. From December 3rd until the 18th, our ILSC community posted photos of acts of kindness on Instagram, and for every photo, ILSC donated $1 to the Learn to Earn program in India. ILSC and Greystone College locations around the world participated with amazing activities like clothing drives, donating blood, baking treats for classmates, helping people decorate for the holidays, and volunteering their time at a food bank. By the end of the 12 Days, over 250 photos were posted, meaning over $250 donated to the Learn to Earn program – proving once again that giving back to our community is an integral part of ILSC. Take a look at some of the highlights from the campaign below!

From all of us at ILSC Education Group, we’d like to thank you again for being a part of delivering transformative living and learning experiences to our students, staff, and community! As you can see, it’s helping people achieve their dreams and change their lives. With your continued support, we are looking forward to 2019 being our best year yet!
