Vancouver, BC, November 5, 2010: The Vancouver based ILSC group (www.ilsc.com) has announced that it has reached agreement to purchase the Australian schools of Pacific Gateway International College. The ILSC Group operates campuses of International Language Schools of Canada (ILSC) in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco and New Delhi as well as Greystone College of Business and Technology in Vancouver, Toronto and New Delhi. Pacific Gateway operates three English Language Schools in Canada as well as two schools in Brisbane and Sydney, Australia.
“Through this acquisition, ILSC, which attracts over 10,000 International students per year to its campuses in Canada, intends to increase the scope of its unique, student‐centered approach and wide diversity of programs by offering transformative learning experiences to students wanting to study In Australia.” said Paul Zysman, ILSC’s President and founder when asked why this acquisition was important to the company. “ILSC’s mission,” he continued, “is to provide world‐class education. ILSC’s humanist approach to education is supported and enriched by its dedicated and talented teaching and administrative staff.”
The Pacific Gateway Australian schools were seen as an ideal choice given their reputation in the market, and their strong commitment to quality and focus on the communicative abilities of their students. Once the transaction is complete, the Australian Pacific Gateway schools will begin to offer ILSC programs, expanding to embrace the ILSC educational model. Linda Moore, ILSC’s Academic Director described the proposed transition: “The feeling of community and connection that is apparent in the Australian schools will be maintained. The two companies have been working in parallel streams over many years, with thousands of satisfied students who have achieved their goals. We are confident that the integration will add value to our educational programs, with enriched opportunities for all. Where there are differences, we intend to blend to further enhance our services.”
